ATTA MERLIN

MERLIN is an extremely durable opaque polymer-based material that affords many innovative design possibilities and potential for various surface applications. Atta has developed this material for use as counter tops, bar tops, dining and end tables, kitchen counters and other surfaces as well as for vertical panels, floor inlays and objects.

Saturated with color, earth-toned or metallic, MERLIN has all the great qualities of stone, metal or concrete with the advantage of customization. Cast in varying thicknesses and edge conditions or laminated to a substrate, this material can be finished with a variety of sealants. Atta's line of metallics employ real bronze, aluminum or copper, which can be added to any of our standard base colors or simply dispersed in a neutral polymer base on their own. Designed inlays that resemble mosaics can be achieved quite easily with MERLIN, a truly magical material. Easy to care for, resistant to staining and impenetrable by water and other solvents, MERLIN is available for interior or exterior applications.

ATTA RESIN

RESIN has qualities like glass or stone without the weight or cost of cast glass. A RESIN finish can be made matte or glossy, either way it allows light through its surface naturally or when back-lit. It can also be back-painted if the application is for a counter top where a substrate (or under-structure) should not be viewed.

Since RESIN begins as a liquid material, it can be pigmented any color and molded into almost any shape. In addition, Atta has imbedded a variety of objects into RESIN including computer parts, rose petals, candy, coke bottles, mylar, feathers, and bones. A protective top coat is added to all products to ensure a hard scratch resistant surface. RESIN stands up to use in high traffic situations such as restaurants, hotels and retail stores and shines to a luster with simple cleaning using a damp cloth and any household cleaning agent.
