Resin is now showing up in stairs, sinks and lampshades, said Karen Atta, an owner of Atta, Inc., a Manhattan design studio. Resin is prized because it is translucent, available in alomost any color and can be molded into almost any shape. To create the snappy resin staircase at Dylan's Candy Bar on the Upper East Side Atta embedded red, green and yellow candies, which glitter like jewels....
