Product: 12' X 1' X 8" Cast Resin Sink

Location: Brasserie, NYC

"The sink-as-sex-object theme gets its most prominent expression at the Brasserie, the hopping eatery in the Seagram Building that was recently renovated by the design firm Diller + Scofidio. The trough, a single unit made of brick-red resin and spanning length-wise from the women's room into the men's room, is divided by a wall - but not completely. A wrist-level gap in the wall gives you some Peeping Tom action into the bathroom next door. True, all you'll see is someone of the opposite sex fondling a bar of soap - and you have to bend down and crane your neck a bit (classy!) to see even that much. But the mere suggestion of a peephole is meant to titillate."
